The 8U Cats won this weekends first annual Greater Flint 8U Challenge. These boys battled hard all weekend scoring lots of runs, but it came down to a defensive battle to close out our first championship of the season by beating New Lothrup by the score of 4-1 in the championship game. GAME 1 - Bobcats soar to 9-5 victory against Angels Bobcats built a 4 run lead in the second inning and then matched the Angels run for run through 6 innings. Pitchers Brandon Murphy, Kyle Lavallee, Alex Maygar and Paul Joseph combined for the win. Paul Joseph was solid at the plate, going 2-3 with two singles and scoring two runs. Cold, rainy, windy conditions, coupled with the loud roar of airplanes taking off and landing next to the fields, couldn’t stop the 13U Cats from a successful “Runner Up” result in the second Annual Union City Classic. Game 1: 14U Bobcats top Flushing 4-2 in tournament opener Grand Blanc won the opening game over the host Flushing Raiders 4-2.
